GOLF IN TRUJILLO (North Peru)
Often ignored by travellers, Peru’s north coast is possibly the most important archaeological area in the whole of the Americas. Even though the Incas have taken the lion’s share of archaeological attention in Peru, the prior cultures of the north coast were at least as important, and survived for a much longer period of time. A visit to Trujillo and Chiclayo is an unforgettable cultural experience, to be combined with good golf.
The Golf and Country Club of Trujillo has a very well kept 9-hole golf course (par 72 in two rounds), a driving range and putting green, as well as dressing rooms, a restaurant and bar, pool, tennis courts, a gym and other various sports. The club also has tennis, swimming, basketball, golf and volleyball academies, aimed for those on a professional level. This is the best organized club, with the most modern infrastructure in the northern region.
